It is all about your personal preference. just because someone loves the ski it doesn’t mean you will love it too. what feel s great for one person feels terrible for another. so before you buy anything try to demo skis first. The skis now days are all great skis, the trick is to find the one that suits you, make you feel good and comfortable so you don’t have to fight it in changing conditions. Your personal skiing style and skills will tell you what to buy. Don’t buy something only because it is a good deal, you might regret that later. Good luck and have fun !!!

Did you try out the Katana v-werks by Volkl, I have a pair and they are absolutely amazing, I don’t see any one testing them even though could be a perfect fit for freeride/backcountry

Tom M says:

you still ski like your on 200cm straight skis.
Let your turns flow a bit please

Anders Jensen says:

Which skis did you also test? How do these compare to the Rossignol soul 7 HD and the dynastar Cham series from 2016/17 ?

M Krnjić says:

How come the Backland FR has the orange thing on the shovel (HRZN tech) when 102mm version should be without it?
