How to Choose a Freeride Snowboard.
Choosing the right freeride snowboard is not always easy so in this episode of HOW TO XV, I talk about my vision of freeride boards, which one I use and for what conditions.
The industry has put a big variety of pow boards out there lately and it is important to know which style of riding you like to do and what kind of conditions you ride most in order to choose the best board for you.

Can I ask what Split Interface that was? I don’t think I’ve seen this before?!
Pour ma part ça fait 5 ans que je ride avec la XV 163. J’ai eu beau tester d’autres boards mais rien y fait, je reviens toujours sur elle !!!
Nice video Xavier. I have 2 questions for you.
1. Are you using a wide board
2. On your setting you said 3° on the back. Is it +3°(lile the front foot) or minus?
Bonjour Xavier. Merci pour tes vidéos. J adore !!!
Yo Xavier, would you downsize your boards if you were lighter? For example, I weigh around 67kg and i found a 158 to be unrideable (172cm is my height). Will a 154 volume shifted deck hold me back sometime when i try to maximum pin it, like, really hard?
Thx, I normally ride 156cm for fun (soft board), my freeride board is 169cm (harder, can carve at the slope pretty well ) and split is 162cm :)) I think I met your advice pretty good :))
“Open front high back in powder.” What does that mean? Less forward lean?
Bonjour Xavier.Tu pourrais me dire combien tu chausses? Quelle pointure prends tu pour tes boots?
Cordialement
