In this video we spend the day testing out the 2017 Rome Artifact at High Cascade Snowboard Camp in Mt. Hood Oregon. It was another hot day on the snowfield during session 2 of camp with bright sunny skies, granular slush, and a really fun terrain park at my disposal. I was able to take the Rome Artifact snowboard through a nice variety of terrain throughout the day and there were two things that really stood out to me about this snowboard: The amount of pop it is able to dish out, and the stability it can provide during landings and through carves (edge hold). If you have any questions about the Rome Artifact or snowboard reviews you’d like to see in the future you can leave them in the comments below, and make sure to check out http://www.boardarchive.com for even more content!

Dan Callahan says:

Great video series! I just bought this board and was looking for some actual on hill board testing. Doesn’t seem like many channels do it like that. Thanks for being one of the only channels to actually ride the board instead of holding it and looking nice for the camera.

Melih Aksoy says:

where is this place?

Hunter Gipp says:

Can I use this board if I have size 13 feet? I have been looking for a mid wide and can’t find one.

jrabit15 says:

just bought myself one of these boards after i destroyed my Burton Superhero in some backcountry, I am an alright park rider who hits some rails. (trying to progress more) and likes jumps and hips. was this a good purchase?

Ali Bagheri says:

I bought the 2017 Artifact 155 this year (2018) new old stock and saved a bunch of greenbacks. I’m 5’11 170lbs and I have to say It has been an amazing deck. Holds an amazing edge on hard carves. Super poppy, and holds its own in the park. I was afraid it was going to be too park oriented but boy was i wrong. This has become my first choice for all mountain boards. Love how it responds. I paired it with the 2018 GNU Cheeter Bindings and have been in love ever since. For reference i started on a GNU in the mid 1980’s then rode burton mostly Brushies after that. I also own a 172 K2 with variplate bindings for carving(yeah, you youngins probablly don’t know about that..lol) I got back into the sport once my kids got older and wasn’t about to spend burton money, glad i didnt. Now our season is over an today i just bought a burton process 159 with mission EST bindings (smoking hot deal) so i’ll give that a shot next season, but i’m glad i have this Rome Artifact incase the burton doesn’t do what i want it too.

lacrosse4higher says:

this is my board! <3

it's a dope shredstick but the base seems to dry out pretty fast. I have no clue whether it's my shitty waxing or if it's the board but I hot wax twice a 20 day season over on the ice coast. maybe it's the ice that fucks it up, idk. nonetheless it's a sweet board and I'd highly recommend.

p.s. I have the 2015 artifact, idk if that matters

Dacota Cagle says:

Oliver Worrad says:

Brennan Bourassa says:

hi, I have been skiing for 10 years and I am 13. I like to ski park and I love skating and board sports so I want to start snowboarding I rented a snowboard and I picked it up pretty fast so I was wondering if you could recommend a pair of boots, bindings and a board that would be great for park but relatively inexpensive. I don’t need the top of the line gear just something to get me started in the park. thanks.

Will Stubenvoll says:

What’s the song playing in the background?

Eryll Brennan says:

I was just accepted into “oms ” okemo mountain school and I get to ride every day I can’t wait.

DoctorDanger4 says:

Its fun to watch people snowboard even though its the middle of the summer where i live

phammy says:

Was there any change between the 2017 and 2018 version of the artifact?

semipro6600 says:

Hey does anyone know a good board that can carve well and dig into the shitty snow in the east while being a little flexible to make riding park and buttering more easy? thanks

Sam Simmons says:

I can’t wait until winter
