Burton Custom Review – Board Insiders – 2016 Burton Custom Twin Snowboard Review

2016 Burton Custom Twin Snowboard Review

Five years and 4 days ago we posted the Burton Custom Flying V Review https://youtu.be/_nh8vEx8oMg . It’s great to say we’ve come a long way since then. Moving operations from Stevens Pass, WA to Timberline, OR and getting the best test crew anywhere has made all of the difference. While this year was park focused because of the terrible NW snowpack, we still got it all, pow, all-mtn, park, and everything there isn’t a name for.

Speaking of snowboard anniversaries, this is the 20th year Burton Snowboards has been making the Burton Custom. There are now 4 models for adults:
Burton Custom Directional
Burton Custom X
Burton Custom Twin
Burton Custom Mystery

This year’s Burton Custom Twin snowboard is asymmetrical from edge to edge. As Tyler says it’s dialed in its sidecut so you’ll feel super comfortable the moment you step onto it. It’s poppy and in our opinion it’s made for the hard charging all-mt/freestyle rider who pushes it fast and goes big.

Samuel Sigfrids says:

Would you recommend this chamber version or the flying V version for a rider who likes playing on the rails fore some jibbing sessions and hitting some “not to big” jumps in the park an then also wants to go for some powder days when I get a chance? 70% in the park, love rails, but want to be able hit everything, then 30% outside the park.

Rossignol Retox Amptek

Jordi says:

Burton Process, Burton Custom, Burton Cusom X ! I’m looking for a new table to ride and I’m kinda lost ^^’ Park focused but I want to go out the park as well with that board

Rph_lmpk says:

Great Vid, I got two unrelated questions if you don’t mind. What are the Oakley goggles you are using, and what Oakley do you recommend in ~200$ range ? what Lenses tint to use for sunny days (that gives natural colors) and cloudy/stormy days (buying two) ?

Fleezus Christ says:

“its made for regulars” dude its the custom twin, just because its asym doesnt mean its designed for regular riders, it means you have a defined toe edge and a defined heel edge, goofy riders put their bindings on in the positions as regulars and ride the board the other way.

JohnReviewer112 says:

so can i just turn it around to ride it goofy?

NiCe Adventures says:

Is that cracking something to be concerned about in terms of the durability of this board? As I’m looking to get this stick and just want to make sure it’s durable and wont break so fast

EDKsurly says:

I just bought this board. Hopefully its good for me. (beginner on the east coast)
