Union Expedition Splitboard Bindings – Touring / Transition / Riding

First day out on the new Union Expedition Splitboard Bindings! Overall very stoked on these.

They have the easiest heel riser to use, I was able to use my basket on my pole for both down and up (usually need to use my hands or top of pole).

The ride was like my forces that I traditionally ride, which for me is a game changer. My stance always felt weird with super rigid bindings (like it was too wide).

I did NOT feel any rotational play during riding.

I have found through testing, if your pucks are set up correctly you don’t get rotational play. Those with rotational play your pucks are too far apart from each other, move them closer together.

The only real quirks i found was you just need to get the snow out of the pin slot in ride mode, before you put the pin in. This can be done easiest with the tip of the pin if there is snow in there, and the paracord cable sticks out a little bit in tour mode. I just put it behind the ladder strap on the toe and it stays out of the way.

Hopefully this helps with people on the fence about these bindings!
