Spenser says:

Eh, that’s still all subjective like everything, to be fair. Some think so, while some can’t tell the difference and don’t care for it. It’s a hell of a nice mounting system when paired together, though, that’s for sure.

On a more on-topic note, the new fish art is killer, and I dig the new shape. Already have three fishes in the closet, though… but there’s always room for more pow boards.

Jay Tolve says:

what bourd should i buy for around 250ish i have boots and traditinal bindings

Spenser says:

A few (cartel, triad a few years ago, etc). All bindings I really like from Burton, and they were no worse than a regular base, I’m just a person who prefers the solid damp feeling under foot like a good traditional base, VS a bunch of foam like the regular bed. I have not ridden the higher end beds (superbed, etc) so I can’t speak to those. Basically I just get nothing extra out of EST, and I prefer the feel of a regular binding. I also ride mostly regular inserts and non B bindings.

Spenser says:

you don’t need Burton bindings to ride a board with the channel. almost all the major binding manufacturers now have a disk for the channel. you’re free to ride whatever you choose : )

gleb krasalymov says:

love from BC pow!

The House says:

Have you tried the EST bindings? If so what did you like and what did you dislike?

Nick Fitzgerald says:

heavy pow isn’t pow

The House says:

Check out the Jones Hovercraft Snowboard, Ride Slackcountry, K2 Peace Keeper, K2 Ultra Dream and the Rome Notch St Snowboard,

The House says:

True but the feel and control you get with Burton EST system is simply amazing.

gleb krasalymov says:

hey, im looking for a pow board like this one but i dont wont to get burton bindings.

can you give me some good pow board names?

illocon says:

3mm taper? C’mon Matt!  Don’t be like Dave who in 2010 also said a 3mm taper.  30mm ok, or 3cm would have done.

Spenser says:

that said, my comment was only based on being subjective, since everyone is different. If there were “bests,” we’d all be riding the same thing : )
