Spring Break snowboards are a company that make one-of-a-kind, massively oversized powder boards, but they came up with a collaboration with CAPiTA to put some of their outrageous designs into production. If you think they look a little bit like surfboards, that’s because they are built like them. Capita use a “surflite” core which is thicker, but much more buoyant than a standard wood core. This, paired with the extended surf rocker in the tip and tail and a completely flat platform between the inserts means you can float above the fluffiest powder without a care in the world. There’re even some forged carbon plates under the inserts to make sure you can transfer all of your energy into massive sweeping powder slashes. With unique tail shapes including a traditional swallowtail, a pointy one, and the powder hole, you’ll catch some attention on a powder day when you hop off the lift on one of these.
